Paris, The city of love
I have been to Paris twice so far, and all I can say is the feeling in your soul when you wander is beyond words. Just taking a look around you are overwhelmed by its beauty and uniqueness. This is the reason why I especially love the Parisian buildings so full of history behind them and made up of beautiful artwork. It is definitely a romantic city a city that is all about love, cuteness and elegance. I find this is the kind of city that you can just get lost in and have a great time. I wandered off, and ended up locating a restaurant overlooking the iconic Eiffel Tower. I admire the beauty of everyone sitting back at a patio while chatting away. One night I walked around the alley ways, and it was just full of lively people all around dancing away and enjoying themselves. Basically even without any travel plan in your hands the city will guide you to explore and discover its more hidden and intimate soul based on authenticity, traditional vibes and old-fashioned scenarios.
These are the best things to see in Paris, those things that should not be missed at all!:
Eiffel Tower: The Eiffel Tower is the symbol of Paris and of all of France: with its 312 meters of height, when it was built, it represented a unique building of its kind. One of the first examples of skyscraper: this was the extraordinariness of the Eiffel Tower that when it was built did not count rivals anywhere else in the world. The view from its top is breathtaking!
Notre Dame Cathedral: Notre Dame of Paris is one of the most famous Gothic cathedrals in the world. It is also one of the oldest, being built in the early Gothic style. Perhaps it was the first ever cathedral where the flying buttresses were used. A true beauty and an icon!
Arch DeTriomphe: In 1806, Napoleon I ordered the construction of the Arc de Triomphe in honor of the Great Army. Inspired by the arches of antiquity, this emblematic monument bears the illustrious names of the nation and houses the tomb of the unknown soldier, whose flame is renewed every night. A new program in the museum now allows us to better understand the history of the monument, as well as its national and international symbolic importance. From the terrace it is possible to admire, day and night, a unique view of the Champs Elysées.
I loved my second time in Paris as it was my first time! The city is always beautiful to see and amazing to experience. Plus, this time I had the chance to dive into the local gastronomy as well and I was amazed by the presence of quite a few Michelin star restaurants in Paris for some special and yummy treats!
If there is something I should offer you as a suggestion I would like to tell you to avoid the most touristic paths and, besides the city’s highlights to really try to look for the traditional side of Paris. Connect with the locals, ask for special places and tips and you will be halfway there for a trip to remember!
